NASA measures faint glow of deep space accurately

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft has provided the first precise measurements of the cosmic optical background, the faint glow from all galaxies that have ever existed. This ambient light is too dim to measure accurately from Earth due to interference from brighter objects in the inner solar system. The findings enhance our understanding of deep space's darkness.
