NASA plans to ask SpaceX and Blue Origin to deliver cargo to the Moon for its Artemis mission. SpaceX will use its Starship to deliver a pressurized rover by 2032, while Blue Origin will deliver a lunar habitat by 2033. Both companies are also developing human landing systems for Artemis missions. NASA has requested cargo variants of these landers to transport 26,000 to 33,000 pounds of equipment to the Moon. Proposals for these cargo deliveries will be issued to SpaceX and Blue Origin early next year.
