Nashik man kidnaps wife, assaults mother-in-law
A man in Nashik, Maharashtra, has been arrested for kidnapping his own wife. The incident happened while the woman, 19, was at the market with her mother. CCTV footage recorded the man taking her away. The husband, identified as Vaibhav Pawar, attacked his mother-in-law when she tried to stop him. The couple had recently married but were facing difficulties, leading the wife to leave their home and stay with her mother. Upset, the husband plotted the abduction with the help of his friends. The kidnapping occurred near the Pangri bus stand. A car pulled up, and the husband forcibly pulled his wife into the vehicle, despite her mother's protests. The mother was physically assaulted during the incident. Following a complaint, police acted quickly to locate and rescue the woman at the Shirdi bus station. They arrested Pawar and charged him under relevant laws. Authorities are now searching for his accomplices, who are still on the run.
