NATO and Ukraine to hold emergency talks after Russian hypersonic missile strike
NATO and Ukraine will hold emergency talks following a Russian attack on Dnipro using a new hypersonic missile. This escalation marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict, which has lasted nearly 33 months. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described the situation as entering a "decisive phase." Ukraine's parliament canceled a session due to heightened security concerns after the missile strike, which was seen as retaliation for Ukraine's use of Western-supplied missiles. The missile, named Oreshnik, was launched from Russia and reached speeds of Mach 11. It carried multiple warheads and struck Dnipro after a 15-minute flight. In a separate incident, Russian drones attacked a residential area in Sumy, resulting in casualties.
