NATO and Ukraine to hold emergency talks after Russia's hypersonic missile attack
NATO and Ukraine will hold emergency talks on Tuesday following Russia's recent attack on Dnipro with a new hypersonic missile. This missile, named Oreshnik, is said to be a response to Ukraine's use of Western long-range missiles. President Vladimir Putin claimed the Oreshnik missile can reach speeds of Mach 11 and carry multiple warheads. He stated that this missile could have devastating effects comparable to nuclear weapons, even when using conventional warheads. In response to the attack, Ukraine's parliament canceled a session due to security concerns. The missile strike on Dnipro targeted a military facility, while a separate drone attack in Sumy resulted in two deaths and injuries to 13 others.
