NC State fires offensive coordinator Robert Anae and promotes Kurt Roper
NC State has fired offensive coordinator Robert Anae and promoted quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper to the role. Roper has been with the team for six years and has previous experience as an offensive coordinator at Duke, Florida, and South Carolina. Anae's tenure included mixed results, culminating in a 6-7 season. The team faced challenges, including the loss of starting quarterback Grayson McCall to a career-ending injury, leading to freshman CJ Bailey taking over. In addition to Roper's promotion, Gavin Locklear has been named the new tight ends coach. Roper will continue as quarterbacks coach while working to improve the team's performance.
