NCB seizes ₹88 crore worth of drugs in Manipur, Assam

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 109 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹88 crore in two operations in Manipur and Assam. The drugs were intercepted as they were being transported from Moreh, Manipur, to Karimganj, Assam. On March 13, NCB officials found 102.39 kg of methamphetamine in a truck near Lilong, arresting two men. In a separate operation, 7.48 kg of methamphetamine was discovered in an SUV near the Assam-Mizoram border, leading to another arrest. NCB officials are investigating further connections to the international drug cartel involved. Senior officials, including NCB chief Anurag Garg, will meet in Imphal to discuss drug trafficking from Myanmar.
