NCRPO reports over 140,000 local ordinance violations in Metro Manila with P42.4 million in fines
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported over 140,000 violations of local ordinances in Metro Manila since January 2025, resulting in fines totaling P42.4 million. The most common violations included public drinking, traffic offenses, and curfew breaches by minors. This marks a significant enforcement effort, coinciding with a reported 23 percent decrease in crime in the region from late November 2024 to mid-January 2025.
