NDA and Metro Pacific launch projects to enhance local milk production in the Philippines

The National Dairy Authority (NDA) and Metro Pacific Agro Ventures Inc. (MPAV) are collaborating on two projects to boost the local milk industry. They aim to connect MPAV with local milk producers and manage a multiplier farm for dairy animal breeding. MPAV has already begun purchasing milk from NDA-supported cooperatives in Batangas and Quezon for its ice cream brand, The Laguna Creamery Inc. The new multiplier farm will focus on breeding dairy animals and increasing milk production. The NDA plans to acclimatize imported cattle at stock farms before distributing their offspring to farmers. Five stock farms are planned in various locations across the Philippines.
