Nebius and YTL introduce Nvidia's Blackwell Ultra instances
AI cloud providers Nebius and YTL AI Cloud are set to be among the first to use Nvidia’s new Blackwell Ultra instances. Nvidia introduced these instances at its GTC conference on March 18. Nebius, a company that splits from Yandex’s European operations, will provide access to Blackwell Ultra-powered instances by the end of 2025. YTL AI Cloud, a subsidiary of Malaysia's YTL Power, will offer Blackwell Ultra from its new solar-powered data center in Johor. This facility is still under construction and is expected to host Nvidia’s GB200s starting in the third quarter of this year. YTL Power's managing director said they aim to provide powerful AI cloud computing to the region by July 2025. They plan to invest $4.3 billion in AI cloud and supercomputer infrastructure in Malaysia. Nebius’s CEO highlighted the importance of cutting-edge AI infrastructure for innovators and enterprises. At the same conference, Google Cloud announced that its B200s and GB200s are now generally available. Vultr, a cloud infrastructure company, is also offering the Nvidia HGX B200, starting in North America. Both companies are focused on helping customers accelerate their AI projects. Nvidia's director mentioned that faster real-time inference is crucial for organizations to scale their AI initiatives effectively. The availability of the Nvidia HGX B200 through Vultr is seen as a significant step in enhancing AI capabilities for businesses worldwide.
