Negros Occidental hotel claims Guinness World Record for largest chicken-shaped building

A hotel in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, has set a Guinness World Record for the largest building shaped like a chicken. The structure, named “Manok ni Cano Gwapo,” stands 114.7 feet tall and measures 39.9 feet wide and 92.5 feet long. Construction of the building began in June 2023 and was completed in September 2024. The hotel is part of Campuestohan Highland Resort, which includes 15 air-conditioned rooms, a wave pool, a restaurant, and various attractions. The owner, Ricardo Cano Gwapo Tan, aimed to create a landmark that reflects local culture and the region's gamefowl industry. The building features a design that symbolizes strength and calmness, mirroring the character of the local community.
