Netflix film executive Niija Kuykendall to leave company at year-end

Niija Kuykendall, a Netflix film executive, will leave the company at the end of the year after three years. She joined Netflix in October 2021 and oversaw faith-based, young adult, and holiday films. Kuykendall's upcoming projects include Tyler Perry’s *The Six Triple Eight* and *The Piano Lesson*, directed by Malcolm Washington. Her departure follows that of Scott Stuber, Netflix's former head of film. Before Netflix, Kuykendall worked at Warner Bros. for over a decade, where she was involved in notable films like *Judas and the Black Messiah* and *A Star Is Born*. She is also active in diversity and representation initiatives.
