Netflix K-dramas won't receive second seasons

It is currently ranked No. 4 on Netflix’s global non-English chart, but it will not return for another season. Another show, "When the Phone Rings," follows an arranged marriage and a kidnapping. Despite its popularity and good reviews, Netflix has decided not to continue it. The show first aired in late 2024 and featured a strong cast including Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin. "Love Next Door," which features a reunion between childhood friends, also received praise and broke into Netflix's Top 10 non-English list. Despite this success, it has been marked as a limited series from the start. "The Potato Lab," about a potato researcher and her romantic comedy with a corporate director, is another show that will not be renewed. It attracted significant viewership but will also leave the platform soon. Finally, "When the Stars Gossip," featuring Lee Min Ho, did not perform well and received negative reviews.
