Netflix reveals new anime titles for spring and summer
Netflix is expanding its anime offerings in 2025. The company has announced exciting new titles set to premiere this spring and summer, coinciding with the AnimeJapan event. One of the highlights is the adaptation of the popular video game franchise, Devil May Cry. It will launch on April 3. The original voice actors from the games will reprise their roles in the anime. Rock band Evanescence will contribute music to the series as well. Another notable title is Sakamoto Days, which has just wrapped up its first half. The second half is set to begin in July. It will introduce a new character, Gaku, voiced by Koki Uchiyama in the Japanese version. Moonrise is another new series debuting on April 10. This anime, created by WIT Studio, is set in a future where an AI has sent criminals to the Moon, which is now a battlefield. The story follows Jacob Shadow, who seeks vengeance after losing his family to terrorism. Lastly, The Summer Hikaru Died will release in the summer. It’s based on a horror manga about a high school student named Yoshiki who is worried about his friend, Hikaru, who has changed after a mysterious disappearance. For fans of One Piece, the second part of the Egghead arc will start airing on April 12, with new episodes coming weekly. This series has maintained a strong following and will continue to deliver new content.
