Netflix's "Devil May Cry" premieres April 3, 2025

Netflix will release a new animated series titled "Devil May Cry" on April 3, 2025. This show will feature the popular video game character Dante, a skilled demon hunter. Fans can look forward to both English and Japanese voice casts. The English voice cast includes notable actors such as Johnny Yong Bosch and Tony Todd. The Japanese version will feature Toshiyuki Morikawa as Dante. Morikawa is familiar to fans as he previously voiced Dante in the 2007 anime and in some video game entries. In addition to Morikawa, Fumiko Orikasa will voice Mary, a character also from the games. Hiroaki Hirata will take on the role of Vergil, Dante's brother. Both Orikasa and Hirata have experience in voicing these characters from earlier games in the series. The series will tell an original story. It revolves around Dante's battle against dark forces trying to open a gateway between the human and demon realms. Showrunner Adi Shankar highlighted the late Kevin Conroy's involvement in the project, mentioning that Conroy recorded his lines before he passed away in 2022. As excitement builds, fans are looking forward to a new journey with Dante in "Devil May Cry."
