NEUFC assistant coach praises team's youth performance
The National Group Stage of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) for 2024-25 is set to start on March 23. This tournament will take place at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai. Two groups, each with six teams, will compete for a chance to advance to the National Championship starting on April 10, 2025. NorthEast United FC, also known as the Highlanders, is entering the tournament with strong momentum. Assistant coach Naushad Moosa praised the team's impressive performance at the youth level. The Highlanders have achieved seven wins and currently sit at the top of the points table, reflecting their talent and dedication. Moosa emphasized that the positive mindset of the players has been key to their success. He encourages them to play with passion, remain disciplined, and enjoy the game. He believes that the experiences gained during the RFDL will play a significant role in shaping their futures. In the National Group Stage, Group A includes East Bengal FC, NorthEast United FC, FC Goa, Kickstart FC, Jamshedpur FC, and Diamond Harbour FC. Group B features Muthoot FA, Dempo SC, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Classic FA, Sreenidi Deccan FC, and Mumbai City FC. The first match will see Jamshedpur FC face East Bengal FC on March 23 at 8:00 AM.
