New 3G football pitch to enhance East Riding sports

A new full-size 3G football pitch will be built at East Riding Leisure Haltemprice, costing over £2 million. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council has secured £360,000 for the project, addressing a local shortage of such facilities. Three local football clubs will primarily use the new pitch, which aims to enhance the quality of sports in the area. The project will also include car parking and changing facilities, as well as support for disability football. The council's Local Football Facilities Plan highlighted the demand for more 3G pitches in Haltemprice. The funding comes from contributions for future maintenance responsibilities.
