A UK retailer, John Lewis, briefly listed the new 12th-generation Amazon Kindle and Kindle Kids Edition before removing the listings. Both models feature brighter screens and faster page turns, but Amazon has not officially announced them yet. The 12th-gen Kindle has a six-inch, 300ppi E Ink screen with improved contrast and a front light that is 25% brighter. It also includes a new dark mode and offers 16GB of storage, priced at £94.99 (about $124). The Kindle Kids Edition shares the same specifications and includes a case, a two-year warranty, and a subscription to Amazon Kids+. It was listed for £114.99 (around $150).
