New bills aim to reduce Chinese influence in U.S

Another, the Belt & Road Oversight Act, aims to monitor China's lending practices and investments in critical infrastructure. The third bill, the SOIL Act, seeks to oversee foreign ownership of U.S. agricultural land and restrict federal assistance for certain foreign-owned properties. These measures come amid rising tensions between the U.S. and China.
