New boutique hotel with 83 rooms planned for downtown Lafayette

A new four-story boutique hotel with 83 rooms is set to be built in downtown Lafayette at the former site of Don’s Seafood and Steakhouse. The $19 million project will include a restaurant, outdoor pool, and event spaces. Construction is expected to start early next year, with the hotel opening planned for mid-2026. The local ownership group, Sans Souci Properties, aims to enhance downtown's appeal and attract more visitors. Currently, the only lodging options in the area are a small hotel and short-term rentals. The new hotel is anticipated to stimulate further investment in downtown Lafayette.
