New bus services improve transport in Tamil Nadu

New bus services have started in several southern districts of Tamil Nadu. The Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Minister, P. Geetha Jeevan, launched two buses in Thoothukudi. One bus will travel from the old bus stand in Thoothukudi to Kulaiyankarisal village, passing through important areas like Millerpuram and the collectorate. The other bus will run from Kovilaptti to Athipatti village, going through Kalugumalai and Kuruvikulam. A. Ravichandran, the District Revenue Officer, and officials from the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation were present at the launch event. In Tenkasi district, another bus service was inaugurated by Minister KKSSR Ramachandran at the new bus stand in Sankarankovil. District Collector A.K. Kamal Kishore and other officials attended this event as well. Additionally, in Kanniyakumari district, Collector R. Alagumeena announced bus services for 17 new routes. The event was attended by Nagercoil Corporation Mayor R. Mahesh and local MLAs.
