New camp for Singapore soldiers opens in Australia for Exercise Wallaby

A new camp for Singapore soldiers, named Camp Tilpal, is now operational in Queensland, Australia, supporting Exercise Wallaby. The camp can accommodate about 2,000 soldiers and offers improved facilities compared to the previous Camp Growl. Construction of Camp Tilpal began in 2019 and was completed in 2024. It features better accommodation, operational, and medical facilities, along with widespread wireless internet access. The camp will also serve Australian troops and other armed forces. The camp includes an advanced exercise command room for better coordination and improved medical facilities that match Singapore's standards. Enhanced technology allows for better situational awareness during training, especially when live ammunition is used.
