New Centre of Competence launched at IIT-Tirupati

A new Centre of Competence has been opened at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT-T). This initiative is the result of a partnership between Esri India and IIT-Tirupati’s Navavishkar i-Hub Foundation. The Centre was inaugurated by Abhay Karandikar, the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology. He was joined by IIT-T Director K.N. Satyanarayana and Esri India Managing Director Agendra Kumar. The aim of the Centre is to promote geospatial education, research, and industry applications in India. The Centre will offer advanced GIS (Geographic Information System) tools, training modules, and real-world applications. Karandikar emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
