New chairman for Singapore's Building and Construction Authority

Professor Tan Thiam Soon will become the new chairman of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore on April 1, succeeding Mr. Lim Sim Seng. Prof. Tan has been with the BCA board since 2019 and served as deputy chairman since 2021. Mr. Lim has led the BCA since April 2021 and helped the organization navigate challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. He will step down along with two other board members on March 31. The Ministry of National Development also announced new appointments, including Mr. Max Loh as deputy chairman and three new board members. The changes aim to enhance BCA's policies and strategies for the built environment sector.
