New crime series "The Pushover" announced at Series Mania

REinvent International Sales has announced a new crime series called "The Pushover" during the Series Mania event in Lille, starting today. This six-part series is based on the sixth book of Lone Theils' popular Nora Sand franchise, which has been published in over 20 countries including the UK, France, and Germany. "The Pushover" follows journalist Nora Sand as she investigates a murder case. A woman is found dead in her pool, and suspicion falls on her boyfriend, who is a known con artist. He confesses to fraud but claims her death was an accident. However, investigator Morten Stark believes he is lying and seeks to find the truth. Meanwhile, Nora uncovers troubling information about the boyfriend's past, revealing a complex story of deceit and murder. The show is currently being filmed in Denmark and Norway. It is produced by Shuuto Arctic for the Norwegian streaming service Altibox, with co-production and financing from REinvent and Danish broadcaster DR. The show is expected to premiere in fall 2025. Helene Aurø, REinvent's sales and marketing director, expressed confidence that "The Pushover" will achieve international success similar to "Fatal Crossing," which has already gained popularity in various territories. Author Lone Theils also shared her excitement about seeing her character brought to life on screen. In addition to "The Pushover," REinvent will showcase other projects at Series Mania, including "Reykjavik 112" and "Sami Wedding." They will also present the anticipated true crime series "Escaping Bolivia" later this week.
