New electric cars launching in India soon

The Indian passenger vehicle market is set to see the launch of several exciting cars in the coming weeks. This includes both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Demand for these vehicles has been growing rapidly, especially for SUVs and crossovers. One of the most anticipated launches is the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. This will be Maruti's first electric car, recently showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. The e Vitara is expected to compete in the midsize electric SUV segment. It will feature a 49 kWh battery, producing 142 bhp and a maximum torque of 192.5 Nm. The EV is also said to have a range of up to 500 kilometers on a full charge and will be available through Maruti Suzuki's premium network, Nexa. Another notable addition is the MG M9, a premium electric MPV. This vehicle, similar in size to the Kia Carnival, has been confirmed for launch in India. Initially, it will be sold in 12 cities through MG's luxury channel, MG Select. The M9 is powered by a 90 kWh battery and has a range of around 430 kilometers on a full charge, accommodating up to seven passengers. Additionally, the MG Cyberster, an electric sportscar, will also enter the Indian market. Like the M9, it will be sold through MG Select. The Cyberster features a stunning design and advanced technology. It has a 77 kWh battery with a claimed range of 443 kilometers. The sportscar boasts impressive performance, delivering 503 bhp and a maximum torque of 725 Nm. With these upcoming launches, the EV segment in India is expected to grow significantly, catering to the increasing demand for modern, sustainable vehicles.
