MindsEye is a new action-adventure game created by Leslie Benzies, known for his work on the Grand Theft Auto series. The game is being developed by Build a Rocket Boy and features a protagonist named Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a neural implant called MindsEye. Set in a dystopian future, the game takes place in a fictional city called Redrock, where military power and AI drive the story. Unlike GTA, MindsEye is not an open-world game. Instead, it is described as a "linear action game" with a "fake open world." Assistant game director Adam Whiting explained that players will navigate a central area filled with various characters and activities. Art director Sebastian Livall added that the world is rich with details, including people engaged in everyday jobs. The story is expected to be a key aspect of the game, drawing players in like a binge-worthy Netflix series. Livall explained that the aim is for players to feel compelled to move from mission to mission, much like reading chapters in a book. MindsEye is set to be released this summer on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, although a specific date has not been announced yet. In the meantime, fans can look forward to more updates about the game.
