A small Polish game studio, Spina Studio, has revealed their new horror game, Phase Zero. The team consists of former developers from CD Projekt Red and Techland. They aim to create a game in the style of classic survival horror games, like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Phase Zero features a unique chapter-based story and dual protagonists. Players will control Mary, a reporter, and Guy, an injured engineer, as they explore Flint Peak, a town suffering from a strange illness. This illness has caused bizarre changes in the residents. The game's visuals pay homage to the PlayStation 1 era, using prerendered backgrounds and fixed camera angles. Spina Studio shared a trailer that showcases unsettling environments filled with grotesque elements, such as "meat bursting through the pipes" and "empty husks of human skin" in the streets. Currently, Phase Zero is set to launch on PC through Steam, but a specific release date has not been announced. A demo is expected to be available soon. Meanwhile, in related news, the upcoming game Silent Hill f has been banned in Australia, receiving a 'refused classification' rating without an explanation.
