A new horror version of The Mummy is set to be released on April 17, 2026. Lee Cronin, known for directing Evil Dead Rise, will write and direct this reimagining for Blumhouse Productions. Cronin promises a unique take, stating it will be "unlike any Mummy movie" seen before. He aims to create something "very ancient and very frightening."
