New law and engineering colleges approved in Telangana
The State government has approved the establishment of a new University College of Law at Satavahana University in Karimnagar. The government has allocated ₹22.96 crore for building the college and covering operational costs. The Law College will offer a three-year LLB program with 120 seats and a two-year LLM course in Intellectual Property Law with 20 seats. Classes are set to begin in the 2025-26 academic year. Additionally, the State has approved the creation of a University College of Engineering in Husnabad, Siddipet district. This college will also open in the 2025-26 academic year. The engineering college will offer four programs: B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence, B.Tech in Information Technology, and B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each program will have an intake of 60 students.
