New maps promote accessible walks in Forest of Dean
Three new maps for accessible walks in the Forest of Dean are being launched. Designed by Canopy Creative Network, these maps cater to people with mobility issues and feature routes of about one mile each. The maps, supported by the district council, highlight benches and points of interest. They aim to encourage more people to enjoy nature and engage with their surroundings. Local illustrator Becky Embling created the designs, reflecting Canopy's goal to support local artists. The routes begin at Linear Park, the Cyril Hart Arboretum, and Lower Soudley Pond.
