A new market festival is set to launch in the city center on Thursday, March 20. Hosted by Bruntwood SciTech, the event will take place in St Paul's Square. It aims to showcase the creativity and innovation of local makers and traders. The Mersey Makers festival is free to attend. It will feature 20 stalls offering unique items, food, and entertainment. Visitors can learn about local crafts and processes. There will also be interactive workshops inside The Plaza building. Among the confirmed traders are Annie Moon Ceramics, which sells handmade pottery, and Little LEAF at One Fine Day, offering iced teas and snacks. Other vendors include ETC Designs with bespoke jewelry, Bisbaas Sauce with Somali hot sauce, and Megan & Willow selling handcrafted soaps. Entertainment will include music from local artists and a plant-crafting workshop hosted by Emma's Wild Garden. Bold Street Coffee will give away 100 free drinks at the event, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Kate Heathcote, the community engagement manager for Bruntwood SciTech, expressed excitement for the festival. She believes it will highlight the talent and innovation in Liverpool, making the city stand out both nationally and internationally. Everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy the event at The Plaza and St Paul's Square.
