New Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid movie coming this summer

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is set to release a new movie titled "A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved" later this summer. Fans got an exciting preview during the AnimeJapan 2025 weekend. Kyoto Animation, known for this popular anime, is making a strong comeback after recovering from a tragic arson attack in 2019. The studio has revealed a new poster for the upcoming film and shared some details about it. During the AnimeJapan event, it was also announced that the opening theme will be "Namida no Parade," performed by the band fhána. The plot of the film follows Kanna, a young dragon, as she encounters her missing father. The story takes place right after the events of the TV show and continues the narrative from the original manga.
