New mpox strain is 10 times deadlier than 2022

A new mpox outbreak, primarily affecting sub-Saharan Africa, is believed to be up to 10 times deadlier than the 2022 strain. Since January 2024, over 15,000 cases and 461 deaths have been reported across 14 African nations.
