A new indoor pickleball facility called Horizon Sports Pickleball is set to open in Wind Gap, Lehigh Valley this spring. The opening is planned for early to mid-April at 61 W. Second St. The facility will feature 13 courts, providing ample space for pickleball players. Additionally, it will include a 2,000-square-foot area for parties and corporate events. To reserve courts, members and the public can use the upcoming Horizon Sports Pickleball app. Co-owner Dominic Sumpolec, who also runs Horizon Sports Group, is excited about the location, stating it’s a great area for the sport. While specific hours haven't been finalized, the facility will likely operate from 7 a.m. to 8 or 10 p.m., with the potential to be open 24 hours a day. Another pickleball venue from the Pickleball Kingdom chain is expected to open in October at the Whitehall Square shopping center in Whitehall Township.
