New shooter game features apes and fruit guns
Arcas Champions is a new video game that lets players take on the role of an ape armed with a fruit gun. The game aims to change the traditional third-person shooter experience by placing it in a unique setting. Players will explore an ape homeworld amid a civil war between two tribes. In the game, players can collect and train champions while engaging in battles for control over the planet. Each champion comes with creative fruit guns and can use physical strength to fight. Players have the option to bounce off walls or climb trees, and they can even grab chickens for special attacks. Players will also use abilities called "totems." These totems allow teammates to stack together for special tactics during fights. The game will focus on team-based play, featuring various modes such as Tribe Wars, Tribe Supremacy, and a banana-collecting game called Banana Fever. Arcas Champions is set to launch in Early Access later this year, with five maps available at the start. As players progress, they can unlock new weapons, powers, and customization options. The best players will join a special skillstaking protocol, giving them a voice in future game updates. Developer Arcas Games plans to create a democratic system, allowing players to influence the game’s development during its Early Access stage and beyond.
