New shows debuting in March include Rogen's comedy
March brings several new shows worth watching, along with a few returning favorites. One of the most anticipated is "The Studio," premiering on Apple TV+ on March 26. Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a new Hollywood studio boss whose dream job turns into a nightmare. Rather than making creative films, he finds himself furthering the studio's decline. The series is packed with star talent, and its sharp satire critiques the state of Hollywood remakes. Another exciting release is "The Residence" on Netflix, which is already available. This comedic murder mystery starts with the death of a chief usher during a state dinner at the White House. Uzo Aduba plays detective Cordelia Cupp, tasked with unraveling the truth amidst political chaos. With 157 suspects, including a celebrity guest, the show blends humor and suspense effectively. "Number One on the Call Sheet," airing on Apple TV+ on March 28, is a two-part documentary featuring major Black actors reflecting on their careers. Produced by Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart, it highlights the challenges they faced and pays tribute to those who came before them. On March 21, "Happy Face" will debut on Paramount+. The story follows a woman whose life is turned upside down after learning her father, a serial killer, may have claimed more victims. This gripping drama explores her struggles with family loyalty and personal trauma. Lastly, "Shark with Steve Backshall," available on ABC iview, dives into the world of sharks. Backshall showcases various shark species while raising awareness of environmental issues that threaten them. This four-part series aims to change the negative perception of sharks. These new offerings promise to deliver a mix of comedy, mystery, and insightful stories for viewers this month.
