New storm set to impact British Columbia this weekend with rain and snow
A new bomb cyclone is set to hit British Columbia this weekend, following a recent storm that caused significant damage. This upcoming storm will be weaker but still bring rain, snow, and strong winds, potentially causing power outages and travel disruptions. The storm will approach the South Coast on Friday, with wind gusts expected to reach 50-70 km/h in Vancouver and 60-80 km/h in Victoria. While there is a risk of outages, it is not anticipated to affect as many customers as the previous storm. Precipitation will extend further inland this time, with 15-30 mm of rain expected in the Lower Mainland and up to 20 cm of snow in higher elevations. The storm will move back out to the Pacific by Sunday.
