New Tempura Avocado Wedges launched in Southern California

The Habit Burger & Grill is introducing new menu items, including a creative side dish called Tempura Avocado Wedges. Chef Jason Triail, the company's director of culinary innovation, developed this dish after joining the chain in 2023. He wanted to use fresh West Coast ingredients, and avocados were a perfect choice. Triail explained that the Tempura Avocado Wedges feature a crispy outer layer with a creamy inside. It is served with the restaurant's signature ranch dressing. The dish is available for a limited time, starting this week. In addition to the new side dish, Triail is updating the Santa Barbara Cobb Salad. This new version will be tested in about 20 restaurants in Southern California. Instead of using diced ingredients, he has opted for whole items like halved eggs and quartered avocado, adding flair with Everything But bagel seasoning. The salad will also feature whole grape tomatoes and hand-crumbled white cheddar. Looking ahead, Triail mentioned that new beverages are also on the way, including a dragon fruit drink and a frozen chocolate banana shake. The updates aim to offer customers more value and an appealing dining experience.
