New V-8 RC truck impresses with sound and performance
A new radio-controlled (RC) monster truck is making waves online. It features a tiny V-8 engine, showcasing impressive engineering and sound. The project creator, JohnnyQ90, shared it on YouTube. This truck has a 44 cc liquid-cooled Cison V-8 engine. The design is classic, with pushrod cam-in-block technology and a single four-barrel carburetor. It even has big exhaust headers that give it a powerful sound, similar to NASCAR vehicles. A custom clutch allows for strong performance. The truck can pull wheelies, a must for any RC monster truck. The overall size is a 1:10 scale, but the engine is technically 1:6 scale. It features a classic Chevy Stepside body with working lights. An alternator keeps the electrical system running, though batteries are still necessary. The truck produces a distinctive V-8 rumble and a high-rev racing howl. Gearing is a challenge, and an improved transmission may be added in the future. The engine costs about $2,000, but the total expense for the truck, including custom parts and components, is much higher. Despite this, many fans agree that the cool factor makes it worth the investment.
