New Wetherspoon pub opening in Rochester, UK
A new Wetherspoon pub is set to open in a seaside village at the Kent Coast Holiday Park in Rochester, UK. The pub, named The London Stone, will start serving customers on March 24. This is part of a larger £8.3 million investment by Haven to enhance its offerings. The Kent Coast site has seen major updates in recent months. These include the addition of an outdoor adventure village, a show bar for entertainment, and a bigger arcade. Wetherspoons already has three other pubs in the Medway area. Haven is expanding its partnership with Wetherspoon after a successful pub launch at Primrose Valley in Yorkshire last year. The investment of £6.7 million will support new Wetherspoon pubs at several holiday parks, including Cleethorpes Beach and Haggerston Castle. Haven's focus in 2025 also includes opening two new Burger Kings at Hopton and Lakeland Holiday Parks. With this expansion, Haven now has six franchised partnerships with well-known brands like Papa Johns and Millie’s Cookies. Haven's chief executive, Simon Palethorpe, expressed excitement about the new venture, emphasizing the aim to improve food and drink options for guests.
