New York Magazine celebrates 50 years of Saturday Night Live with special fold-out cover

New York Magazine's "Reasons to Love" issue for 2024 features a special cover celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live. The cover includes 60 past and present cast members and is the magazine's first five-panel fold-out cover. Photo director Jody Quon coordinated the project with SNL's Lorne Michaels and a team of editors. They organized photo shoots with David LaChapelle, capturing the spirit of SNL through various sets and group portraits. The shoots took place in Los Angeles and New York, featuring notable alumni like Mike Myers, Tina Fey, and Martin Short. The process highlighted the camaraderie among cast members, showcasing their interactions and shared memories.
