New York nightlife icon Mark Grossich dies at 74
Mark Grossich, a notable figure in New York's nightlife, passed away on February 8 at the age of 74 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was the founder of Hospitality Holdings and created upscale cocktail lounges like the Campbell Apartment. Grossich's venues, known for their elegant, retro atmosphere, became popular in the 1990s among affluent patrons. He aimed to provide a timeless experience rather than follow fleeting trends, distinguishing his establishments from more contemporary nightlife options. In addition to the Campbell Apartment, Grossich operated the Bar & Books chain, which featured a cozy, sophisticated ambiance. He maintained several locations after parting ways with his business partner, Raju Mirchandani.
