New Zealand government ratings reach record low
New Zealanders have given their government a poor rating of 4.2 out of 10. This marks the lowest score since the Ipsos Issues Monitor started in 2017. The survey shows that concerns about inflation and the cost of living have dropped to 50%. This is a five-point decrease and the lowest in three years. However, this decline did not help improve the government's popularity. The Ipsos survey took place between February 24 and March 2, and involved 1,002 participants. People were asked about the top issues facing the country. Health remains a significant concern for New Zealanders, holding steady at 41%. There is an increase in worry about health among older citizens.
