NFL ends investigation into Deshaun Watson's sexual assault lawsuit due to lack of evidence

The NFL has closed its investigation into a sexual assault lawsuit against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, citing insufficient evidence. The league confirmed that Watson will not face any disciplinary action related to the case. The lawsuit, filed on September 8, was the 25th legal action against Watson in two years. It alleged that he sexually assaulted a woman in October 2020 and behaved aggressively during their interactions. Watson previously settled 23 of 24 lawsuits related to similar accusations. He received an 11-game suspension from the NFL following an earlier investigation. Watson is currently on injured reserve due to a torn Achilles.
