NFL stars to participate in golf tournament in Mexico
The NFLPA Classic is set to return for its third year, taking place on March 25 and 26. The event will be broadcasted on the Golf Channel from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT on both days. This year's tournament will be held at El Camaleon Golf Course in Mayakoba, Mexico. It features 18 teams, each made up of four current NFL players. Some of the players participating include Sauce Gardner, Aidan Hutchinson, and Von Miller. The tournament will follow a scramble format. In this format, all team members will tee off on each hole, and they will choose the best ball to continue playing. They will compete over 18 holes on the first day and 9 holes on the second day. The eight teams with the best scores will move on to a playoff round. Ties will be settled with a chip-off. The playoff includes various shootout formats: a one-hole scramble in the quarterfinals, a two-hole scramble in the semifinals, and a three-hole scramble in the finals. The event is in partnership with Good Good Golf. The broadcast team for the tournament will include Damon Hack, Kay Adams, Dan Orlovsky, and Jameis Winston.
