NFL wraps up investigation into Deshaun Watson with no action taken
The NFL has concluded its latest investigation into Deshaun Watson, finding insufficient evidence to take action against the Cleveland Browns quarterback. This decision allows Watson to focus on his recovery from injury and preparation for next season. Watson faced multiple allegations of sexual assault during his time with the Houston Texans, resulting in 24 civil lawsuits. He settled 23 of these cases and received an 11-game suspension in 2022, along with a $5 million fine. Currently, Watson is out for the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles tendon. Despite this, he is set to earn $46 million in both 2025 and 2026.
