NH 48 closed from March 26-27 for construction
National Highway 48 will be closed for construction from March 26 to 27, 2025. The closure will take place overnight, starting at 12:01 AM and ending at 6:00 AM. The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is working on a footbridge project in Narsinghpur. This footbridge aims to improve safety for pedestrians crossing the busy highway. To manage the closure, GMDA has set up traffic diversions. Vehicles headed from Delhi to Jaipur will be rerouted at Hero Honda Chowk. They will make a right turn at Subhash Chowk and continue straight to join SPR-Dwarka Road. Drivers traveling from Jaipur to Delhi can use the Dwarka Expressway after passing the Kherki Daula toll plaza to avoid the construction area. Commuters coming from Jaipur to Gurugram will have a different route. They will also use the Dwarka Expressway, U-turn at Ellan Chowk, and then turn left at the red light near Vatika Chowk to reach Rajiv Chowk. While the closure may cause some delays, it is a necessary part of improving safety on NH-48. The footbridge will help reduce pedestrian accidents in the future. Commuters are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys. The GMDA appreciates community support during this construction period, which is essential for the project's success.
