Nick Emmanwori boosts draft stock with team visits
Nick Emmanwori, a safety from South Carolina, is gaining attention ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. He is expected to be chosen in the first round, along with another standout safety in this year's class. Emmanwori has scheduled several pre-draft visits. He will soon meet with the Atlanta Falcons, where they are considering their options for the safety position. The Falcons currently have Jessie Bates but face uncertainty with Justin Simmons, who is a free agent. If Simmons leaves, Atlanta may prioritize adding a safety in the draft. Other teams are also interested in Emmanwori. He is set to visit the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, and Miami Dolphins. Carolina recently added Tre’von Moehrig to strengthen their defense. Meanwhile, both the Bengals and Seahawks are looking to enhance their secondary. Miami is particularly active in the safety market this spring, especially with Jevon Holland leaving and Jordan Poyer unlikely to return. The Dolphins may draft a safety early, with some experts suggesting they could target Emmanwori. Emmanwori had a strong collegiate career, earning all-conference honors and a first-team All-American title in 2024. He recorded 88 tackles and four interceptions in his final season. As he prepares for the NFL, he faces high expectations and more team visits in the upcoming weeks.
