Nick Rolovich joins Cal football coaching staff after three years away from college football
Nick Rolovich has joined the University of California's football coaching staff as a senior offensive assistant. This marks his return to college football after being fired from Washington State in 2021 for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. Rolovich had been away from college coaching for three years, working in high school football and the XFL. He previously coached at Washington State and Hawaii, where he had a mixed record. His lawsuit against Washington State regarding his termination is still pending, with a hearing scheduled after a judge removed the trial date. Rolovich's hiring follows the addition of another former head coach, Bryan Harsin, to Cal's staff.
